I rarely actually enjoy the design process when I'm creating basic websites. I like the challenge of something more technical, but this site I just finished has just enough style to it that it's simplicity actually works!! pacific-fire-protection.com

I'm happy to say that 2009 has started out very well for me! I've been swamped with work this entire month.

I should have some updates pretty soon but for now check out the sites I've been working on that are taking up all my time!

Second Rate Films

Where I live there is a bike path that runs along the L.A. River. I've taken my bike down it plenty of times and I always liked how there is the busyness of the 5 freeway on one side and then this concrete river filled with wildlife and trees on the other. You can see where the city has obviously taken over the river with all the trash and 'urban nomads' that has become a part of it (and of course that it's concrete). Anyway I started taking my camera along with me and have come up with tons of great photos. I wanted to do something with the best ones so I put together this composition!

Just a quick update on what's been going on...I've been busy creating some apparel designs for a couple different clients, I've also been busy programing content management systems and blogs for some existing websites I've made. I'll have some photos up soon from the apparel designs.

With all the work I've been doing with blogs for my clients I figured I'd make my own site a little easier to update and keep track of so I added an rss feed to my updates here...

So...as you can see I've finally launched a new portfolio site. I've found that working on my own website is probably the hardest project I can take on. I finished about 3 complete sites before I got this one to where it is...It's just too easy to think 'I can make it better.' After the 3rd complete site I tried to make for myself I decided to just start from the basics. Make a simple site that is easy on the eyes and easy to navigate. So that's what I did!! It will definitely still be going through some changes as I tweak it here and there but the basis is here! Take a look around as I find all my old work to start creating an archive on here. Enjoy!
